Chris Ashton, the winger of the England Rugby Team has hailed the performances of his England international team mate Alex Corbisero following the stunning series victory of the British and Irish Lions against Australia last month.
And Corbisero, who was absolutely stellar in his role at prop as he scrummaged the Wallabies to submit, was singled out for praise by Ashton for his dominant displays which many critics have also hailed as the pivotal moment in the team’s triumph Down Under.
Corbisero, who recently made the move to the runners of the Aviva Premiership the Northampton Saints also made a very early breakthrough for the Lions with a try in the second minute and Ashton has lauded the performances of the 24 year old prop and hailed him as the superhero of the team. Ashton also made it clear that the team was immensely impressive as well and hailed the team effort as he passed on his congratulations to all players on the team which won emphatically 41-16 in the final match at the ANZ Stadium and singled out the England Rugby Team player Corbisero for special praise.
Ashton took to his official page on Facebook where he stated that it is no wonder that Corbisero loves superheroes because he himself is one and he also congratulated all other members of the triumphant Lions side.
Christian Wade, the winger for the London Wasps, who was also a part of the tour and played on the tour match against the ACT Brumbies, also took to his Facebook page to celebrate the victory. The highly rated 22 year old, who has been tipped for success with the England Rugby Team admitted that the victory in the series was unbelievable and admitted that the entire experience has been absolutely amazing for all the players.
